After graduating from high school, Mr. Kight enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps. Growing up, his family relied on government assistance, which motivated him to make a successful career for himself. Mr. Kight advanced through the ranks to become a sergeant in the Marine Corps and additionally served as a field service representative in Afghanistan for more than a year.
Mr. Kight currently excels as the owner of Inshore Addiction Charters, with which he serves as a charter guide for daily tours. On a daily basis, he hosts clients on fishing adventures on his boat at Dudley’s Marina, where he entertains, offers recipes and cleans the fish at the end of the trip. Notably, Mr. Kight’s boat is a 2006 Pathfinder 2200V, a good riding bay boat with plenty of room for angling fish and collecting sand dollars.
Prior to establishing his own business, Mr. Kight relocated to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where he began exploring the marshes of Swansboro and Emerald Isle. He quickly learned the waters and now mainly targets fish such as red drum, trout, flounder, black drum and sheepshead, among others. Throughout his career, he has attributed his professional success to hard work and persistence. Looking toward the future, Mr. Kight plans to work toward developing his own fishing show.
